Promotion of Cycling and Walking

The objective of the pilot action is promoting walking and cycling as modes of transportation in Turku. This will happen through the preparation of a new development programme for walking and cycling combined with awareness of rising. The preparation of the programme includes:

• gathering feedback from citizens about walking and cycling
• organizing participatory activities for citizens: citizen meetings, campaigns on work places, car-free day and the Finnish Cycling Year 2007 in Turku
• the functioning of promotion of walking and cycling as a PR person for walking and cycling
