- Sustainable Transport Awareness Raising

The main target is to introduce alternatives to cars such bicycling, walking and using public transport.

During the car-free-day one of the biggest streets in centre of the town will be partly closed for motorised vehicles. This will be accompanied by several activities which will be concentrated at this street.

It is also important to promote the Car Free Day activities and measure the impact of sustainable transport promotion. For this reason will be traffic survey lead trough that is comparative with surveys in previous year.

Developing new schemes of cooperation is also one important target to CFD. Citizens, local companies, NGOs and organisations will be involved in the preparation process of the car-free-day.
