Environmental loading point

A key measure to set benefits for the operators of clean delivery vehicles is the "Environmental Loading Point" - adjacent to the pedestrian area and accessible exclusively for Euro V /EEV vehicles. This reserved parking place in a favourable position is meant as an incentive for companies to use for delivery low-emission vehicles in the inner city. This innovative measure will give benefits for the operators of clean CEP-service vehicles.

In order to prepare the city for fulfilling the quality standards for noise and air quality, the upcoming challenges of increasing energy prices and reduction of CO 2 emissions as well as from dependence on fossil fuels, measures have to be developed to make the objectives of the SUTP from the city level more concrete on the neighbourhood level. Bremen is preparing an Air Quality Management Plan (AQM) and an Air Quality Management Action Plan for the hotspot of the area on the southeast edge of the inner city (area "Am Dobben").

The pilot action was chosen, as the requirements of Air Quality Management and also Noise Abatement is given on a European level. All European cities have similar structural problems in that area - therefore we see a high level of transferability of the results of BUSTRIP Bremen. At the same time, the strategies and measures are of high political relevance on the local level and the measures show a high level of innovation.
